My Darling Shoe Princesses
In a time-poor world, a personal recommendation can be worth its weight in Jimmy Choos. So please feel free to share your thoughts on SP Emma Bowd’s novel The Shoe Princess’s Guide to the Galaxy with us!
Here’s some that have already been posted:
“I am really enjoying reading Shoe Princess. It is a delightful read full of humour and candor.” (SP Lainy Collins, Cocospice Shoes, Aust)
“Found myself hooked. Enjoyed it thoroughly!” (SP Susan Orchard)
“Kept hiding in bathroom with Shoe Princess (only place can escape children)…needed to know what happened next. LOVED it!” (name withheld – for fear of social services visit) [Has this sweet SP not heard of The Disney Channel? SPxx]

Well what can I say……….I just loved it!!!!!!
It is the first book I have managed to read from start to finish in less than 36hours!!
In between of course being a mum, wife, student, housecleaner, chef, tax agent, etc….
Thank You Shoe Princess.

Dear Emma
I just read your book and really loved it….my own SP description was sadly lacking!
The Late Bloomer SP
This shoe princess discovered her inner SP later than some of her counterparts and so her shoe passion is a source of delicious delight (she has ‘lost’ years to catch up on). She has never bought a designer pair of shoes (and finds the prospect both scary and intriguing). As a full time mum, some of her most satisfying moments come from having her shoes noticed! She rarely wears heels as life has to be practical but loves a bit of height…she would love to have a lifestyle that warranted higher heels or, gasp, stilettos and often picks up hugely impractical shoes to stroke and admire…before going on to purchase a practical ballet flat.
This SP is very grateful to Princess Sapphire of Shoelandia for a hugely entertaining read which was such a welcome diversion from the grind and toil of life with a 2yr old and a 4 yr old! An education…!
It was also good to meet you at the Magnolia Square market in Brighton recently. It has been inspiring to read your book and find that it took some time for you to craft your wonderful book. Thanks again for a great read, I found that my interest and desire to keep turning the page never waned – a rare treat!

I am so pleased I picked up this 1st novel by SP Emma Bowd – I was certainly not disappointed.
I found myself totally engrossed with this delightful and humorous story and drawn into the wonderful world of SP Jane and her friends.
I really couldn’t put this book down and found any and every opportunity to slip in a chapter. (Quite a satisfying indulgence for a busy mum of three.) I consequently finished the book far too quickly.
By the end of the book I was so drawn in by the characters I felt I was part of their world and now hoping for a sequel (I just have to know what happens next).
I will be recommending this great read to all of my friends!

What a great read and a huge amount of fun….have subsequently sent a pile of ill-fitting shoes to a better home, had a few repairs done on some classic boots, spruced and polished the remaining shoes and am looking forward to the first available chance to go shoe shopping.
Thanks for helping me notice those things at the end of my legs and what they’re encased in, embellished with and accentuated by…and the book was a joy.
Looking forward to what happens in the Shoe Princess 2 (-; Bring it on Emma!

Simply gorgeous! Characters that you can really relate to and have a giggle at. Loved the way a healthy dose of reality was matched with the fantasy-land that is owning a wardrobe full of Manolos and Jimmy Choos.
About to embark on the journey that is motherhood, I am going to post The ShoePrincess’s guide to the galaxy on my fridge and will always remember to look down at my feet before leaving the house!
Thank you and well done Emma. We wait with baited breath for the sequel. xo

I loved the book and after putting my 5 (yes 5) kids into bed the other night I couldn’t put it down…while wearing in my new Manolo’s I might add!
I had the honor of meeting Emma the other day while buying my book she signed it for me and we had a great chat she is such a lovely shoeprincess.
I am really looking forward to the second book.

Fabulous book with some fantastic quotes (even if my husband didn’t appreciate them all being read out to him)! As the proud owner of a number of Jimmys, Manolos and Louboutins I am definitely a SP who is looking forward to her trip in a couple of weeks to London to stock up.

I am an SP. An SP from India. I don’t really know which shoe story to share (there are over a million) but I have to tell you this…it’s not me who chose the book, but the book who chose me. I’ve been battling following my instincts (that is to deep dive into shoe making) for a really long time and just when I was looking for answers this book lands in my lap. The time is just right.
I enjoyed every bit of it. I SO wish that just like Jane, Savia Jane (that’s me ) can develop shoes and new trends in footwear very soon, and Shoefu (the brand that I’m working on) grows to be a brand of well-crafted footwear.
Thank you Emma for the lovely read. Truly.
Will keep you posted!
Loads of love from India

Hello my beautiful Shoe Princesses
Apologies for not penning this note before now…the Shoe Princess has had me working hard on the campaign trail!
It’s a huge honour for me to know that you’ve invested your hard-earned money and precious spare time reading and enjoying my novel. And what a joy is has been meeting many of you at my book-signings and hearing from you on this blog.
At the end of the day, a book is quite incomplete without a reader- and you can’t begin to imagine how much your feedback thrills and inspires me.
Keep following your hearts’ desire Shoe Princesses and who knows where the yellow brick road will lead you….
Much Love
Emma

For me this novel captured the dramatic change in mindset that the transition from career woman to new mother brings about.
I loved the descriptions of the gorgeous shoes. And now I know it is possible to combine beautiful shoes and motherhood – the pre-children Italian stilettos have been dusted off!!
But for me the underlying story of the biological re-arrangement of a woman’s priorities after the arrival of a new baby struck a chord. No one can tell you exactly what this feels like until it happens, but the story of Jane’s journey conveys the essence of this to the reader.
I’d recommend this book to ALL mothers and mums-to-be!

I have just finished your book and I absolutely loved it. I finally got to it last week and couldn’t put it down. I am such an SP and can totally relate to Jane, having had kids it’s hard to get back into those heels!
Would love to hear if any more Shoe Princess books on the horizon.
Kind regards,
Sharyn
